I ran this morning...not far, but it was my first run in a week. And it felt great! I walked a quarter of a mile, ran a mile, and then walked another three-quarters. I would have liked to have done more but a) I didn't get up quite as quickly as I should have after the alarm went off and b) my chest started feeling a bit tight and I didn't want to push it. Still, I'm amazed at the benefits of even a short run. I definitely had a spring in my step as I left for work this morning...of course, that could have to something to do with the fact that we have just two days left this week...and Friday is a short day at that!
